Empowering youth to break the bonds of poverty.


We started actively tracking students in June of 2011.

The following numbers do not include the kids that drop in for computer time, food, or to use our laundry facility. 

We have tracked the academic, social and vocational progress of those students and have clear data that we are making a difference. 

As of 2018 we have enrolled 1120 students. 

Academic Progress:

  • 566 students (51%) have stuck with the program for four weeks or more.

  • Of those students 442 (78%) were previously expelled or had dropped out of school.

  • 246 (22%) were enrolled, but failing or behind in grade level.

  • 440 Students were eligible to graduate and of those students 431 (98%) graduated with a diploma, GED/TASC/HSE.

  • 130 (33%) have pursued post-secondary training, college or technical school.

  • 305 (54%) are working full-time

  • 135 (24%) are working part-time.  

Juvenile Crime:

  • Of those involved in the court system 521 (92%) have no new additional charges.

  • 9 (2%) are currently incarcerated.

  • 28 (5%) of students have been victims of a homicide. 


  • 175 (32 %) are, or were homeless at the time of enrollment.
